Two Rush Township Road Levy Renewal measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the township of Rush which is in Champaign County.

Both measures were approved

The first measure sought to renew the current road levy which is set at a rate of $.15 per $100 of assessed property value for a further three years in order to continue to pay for road and bridge construction and repair costs in the township.

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

First Measure: A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Rush Township (Exclusive of the Villages of Woodstock and North Lewisburg) for the purpose of GENERAL CONSTRUCTION, RECONSTRUCTION, RESURFACING AND REPAIR OF ROADS AND BRIDGES at a rate not exceeding 1.5 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.15 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for three years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.

Second Measure: A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Rush Township (Exclusive of the Villages of Woodstock and North Lewisburg) for the purpose of GENERAL CONSTRUCTION, RECONSTRUCTION, RESURFACING AND REPAIR OF ROADS AND BRIDGES at a rate not exceeding 2 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.20 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3]
