Russell Best is a 2014 Independent American Party candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 4th Congressional District of Nevada.[1]

Best was previously a 2012 Independent American Party candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 2nd Congressional District of Nevada. Best was defeated by Republican incumbent Mark Amodei on November 6, 2012.[2]

Biography

Best was born in Texas and joined the Navy as a storekeeper. He was honorably discharged for medical reasons. After graduating from Moorepark College, he worked for several companies, including Gulf Oil, Taco Bell and Meritor Mortgage. He is currently the owner and operator of an independent mortgage company in northern Nevada.[3]
