There were two San Angelo Mayoral Benefits Measures on the May 8 ballot in Tom Green County for voters in the city of San Angelo.

Both measures were defeated[1]

These measures sought to reinstate health benefits and car allowances for the Mayor and city council members. In 2007 voters voted down pay raises for these city officials as well as renewing health insurance and a car allowance. City mayor noted that he knows voters do not want to pay for increased pay for him, but he hoped that the insurance will at least be approved. The car allowance would reimburse officials when they are on city business.[2]
