A San Carlos Schools parcel tax Measure S proposal was on the November 4, 2008 ballot in San Mateo County, California, for voters in the San Carlos school district.

2/3rds of those voting had to vote "yes" for the measure to pass.

Measure S was narrowly defeated with 65.6% of the vote.

The measure, had it passed, would have increased the parcel tax rate in the district by $75 for a total of $185 per parcel per year beginning July 1, 2009, with a potential cost-of-living adjustment of not more than 3% annually.
