November 4, 2008 ballot for voters in the San Carlos School District in
San Mateo County, California, where it was
defeated.
If Measure S had been approved, it would have increased the parcel tax rate in the district by $75 for a total of $185 per parcel per year beginning July 1, 2009, with a potential cost-of-living adjustment of not more than 3% annually.
A 2/3rds supermajority vote was required for approval.
