San Francisco Health and Pension Benefits Measure B appeared on the June 3, 2008 ballot in San Francisco, California. It won by an overwhelming margin. It increases the years of service required for new employees to qualify for subsidized health benefits at retirement, and adjusts the formula for calculating retiree health benefits for new employees.
Prop. B also increases the cost-of-living adjustments for city employees who retire after January 10, 2009. The measure was strongly supprted by labor unions.
