San Francisco Save Junior ROTC Initiative (2008)

The Save the San Francisco Junior ROTC Initiative or Proposition V, was on the November 4, 2008 ballot in San Francisco for voters in the City of San Francisco.[1].
Proposition V was approved with 54.63% of the vote.
The ballot measure overturns a 2006 vote to shut down the Junior ROTC by 2009.[2]
Ballot language
The language on the ballot said:
- Shall it be City policy to encourage the School Board to reverse its decision to terminate JROTC and to continue to offer JROTC in San Francisco public high schools?
