A San Juan County Fire Protection District 4 Tax Levy Increase proposition was approved on the February 12, 2013 election ballot in San Juan County, which is in Washington.

This proposition authorized the San Juan County Fire Protection District No. 4 to increase propertyt axes by 0.213 mill ($0.213 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) bringing the total property tax rate up to 0.83 mill ($0.83 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) in order to maintain and improve fire protection and emergency medical services.[1]

Language on the ballot:

The Board of Commissioners of Fire Protection District No. 4 adopted Resolution No. 2012-07 concerning an increase in the regular property tax levy. This proposition would increase the regular property tax levy of the District by approximately $0.213 per $1,000 to a total levy rate of $0.83 per $1,000 of assessed valuation, subject to the limit factors in RCW Chapter 84.55, for the purpose of maintaining and improving fire protection and emergency medical services.
