Sander Rue is a Republican member of the New Mexico Senate. Rue was a candidate for the Albuquerque City Council in 2001 but was not elected. He was also a candidate for the New Mexico State House in 2002. He joined the New Mexico State Senate in 2009. He has served in that position since, representing the 23rd district.

Rue is a small businessman and Real Estate Appraiser.

Rue earned his BBA from the University of New Mexico.
