This measure sought to replace the current disabilities levy which is set at a rate of 2 mills for a further five years in order to continue to provide for disability services in the county.[2] Officials expect this levy to generate $2.35 million a year for various needs. The Board operated the School of Hope which houses disabled residents and is seen as a must to ensure services are still able to be offered.[3]
