A Santa Barbara Emergency Parcel Tax, Measure S ballot proposal was on the February 5, 2008 ballot in Santa Barbara County, California, for voters throughout the county.

2/3rds of those voting had to vote "yes" for the measure to pass.

Measure S was defeated. 46.1% of those voting voted in its favor.

The measure would have imposed a $35/parcel tax.
