A Scioto Township Fire Levy Addition measure was on the March 6, 2012 ballot in the township of Scioto which is in Pickaway County.

This measure sought to add to the fire levy by a rate of $.38 per $100 of assessed property value for a continuing period of time in order to further pay for fire equipment costs, maintenance and salary costs in the township.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

An additional tax for the benefit of Scioto Township (including the Villages of Commercial Point and Orient) for the purposes of providing and maintaining fire apparatus, appliances, buildings, or sites therefore, or sources of water supply and materials therefore, or the establishment and maintenance of lines or fire alarm telegraph, or the payment of permanent, part-time, or volunteer firefighters, or firefighting companies to operate the same, including the payment of the firefighter employers’ contribution required under section 742.34 of the revised code, or the purchase of ambulance equipment, or the provision of ambulance, paramedic, or other emergency medical services operated by a fire department or firefighting company, at a rate not exceeding three and eight-tenths (3.8) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to thirty-eight cents ($0.38) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
