Scott Baumbach is the former Wisconsin Secretary of Workforce Development. He was first appointed by Governor Scott Walker on June 8, 2011, but resigned his post less than six months later, on October 24, 2011. In his resignation letter to Gov. Walker, Baumbach explained his departure. "Very soon, I will be starting this exciting new adventure which will allow me to connect jobseekers to jobs in ways above and beyond what I could do at DWD, and I look forward to sharing this new enterprise with you."

Biography

Baumbach began his career in labor and employment relations law, working with Michael Best & Freidrich LLP since 2001. Before joining the firm, he clerked for a year for Diane Sykes, who at the time sat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
