Scott Lautenbaugh (1964-) is a member of the Nebraska Unicameral representing District 18. He was appointed to Nebraska Legislature: Nov. 2, 2007, to replace Mick Mines. He was then elected to Legislature in 2008
Background
Born November 11, 1964 in Sioux City, Iowa, Senator Lautenbaugh is an Attorney from Douglas County, Nebraska. He has his undergraduate and law degrees from Creighton University. Prior to his appointment to the Nebraska Senate, he served as a commissioner on the Douglas County Board of Elections, and was President of the Omaha Barristers from 2000 to 2001. He has a private practice in his home town of Blair. [1] He is currently married to Shelly Lautenbaugh with three children and is known to be Methodist.
Education
Scott Lautenbaugh earned both his Bachelors degree and Juris Doctor from Creighton University in 1987 and 1991 respectively.

Scott Lautenbaugh began his political experience in 2000 by becoming the Douglas County Election Commissioner, though his brief service as commissioner lasted only three years, ending in 2003.
