As a small businessman I see the need for government to be fiscally responsible by passing balanced budgets, cutting spending, and creating an environment where businesses can prosper and create jobs without government interference. I will continue to work in the Senate Majority to pass truly balanced budgets, keep taxes low and promote policies that help businesses put Hoosiers back to work.

Schneider won re-election in the 2012 election for Indiana State Senate District 20. Schneider ran unopposed in the May 8 Republican primary and defeated Tim DeLaney (D) and F.C. Peterson (L) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012. [3][4]

Schneider was elected to the District 30 seat in a special election of Republican precinct committee voters on July 28, 2009, to fill the seat made vacant by the resignation of Teresa Lubbers.[5]
