Wilson ran for election in the special election for Louisiana House of Representatives District 65. The seat is vacant following Clif Richardson's (R) resignation due to health issues on January 2, 2013. Wilson was defeated by Barry Ivey (R) in the special election on March 2, 2013. Candidates had until January 11 to file.[2][1][3][4]
