He was named assistant director of the department in January 2011 by Governor John Kasich, and was appointed interim director on September 7, 2011 when David Mustine, the former officeholder, left his position to work for JobsOhio, the state's new privatized department of development.[1]
Zody was replaced by Jim Zehringer on November 16, 2011.[2]
