In his professional career, he held the position of assistant Trumbull County Prosecutor for twelve years, during which time he specialized in criminal law and prosecuted many domestic violence cases. He also founded the Trumbull County Community Foundation, an organization that sponsors and donates to local charities. He is also active in other community charity organizations.
