Seneca Maintenance Referendum (2008)

The Seneca Maintenance Referendum was a school bond issue on the November 4 ballot in the School District of Seneca, Crawford County. The purpose of the referendum was to add $800,000 per year above the state revenue limit to the school budget. The annual additional funds will be used for maintaining and improving facilities.

Text of measure

Be it resolved by the School Board of Education of the School District of Seneca, Crawford County, Wisconsin, that the revenues included in the School District budget for the 2009-2010 school year and thereafter, be authorized to exceed the revenue limit specified in Section 121.91, Wisconsin Statutes, by $800,000 a year, for recurring purposes of maintaining, increasing, and improving instructional materials, programs, and staff, replacing technology equipment, updating facility equipment and maintaining the current School District facilities
