Shannon Robinson was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 17 of the New Mexico State Senate.

Robinson was formerly a member of the Senate, but as a Democrat. After being targeted by his party in the primary in 2008, he switched parties and decided to run as a Republican against Tim Keller, the man who had defeated him.[1]

Robinson ran in the 2012 election for New Mexico State Senate District 17. He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on June 5, 2012. Incumbent Timothy M. Keller (D) ran unopposed in the Democratic primary and defeated Robinson in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
