South Carolina

By Geoff Pallay

COLUMBIA, South Carolina: State Senator Vince Sheheen (D), who ran unsuccessfully for Governor in 2010, spoke at the Democratic National Convention earlier this month but did not confirm whether he would again run for governor in 2014.[1]

Sheheen was defeated by Nikki Haley (R) in the November 2, 2010 election by 5 percentage points.

First elected to the South Carolina State Senate in 2004, Sheheen is running unopposed for re-election to District 27 on November 6, 2012.
