Sherra Lane (b. October 27, 1944) is a Democratic member of the Mississippi House of Representatives. She has represented the 86th District since winning a special election in October 2005.

Lane is an attorney. She is previously worked as a farmer, social worker, and teacher.

She earned her JD from the University of Mississippi, and MEd and BA from the University of Southern Mississippi.[1]

On November 8, 2011, Lane won re-election to District 86 of the Mississippi House of Representatives. She defeated Mack Carney in the August 2 primary and defeated Republican Mark Purvis in the November 8 general election. [2]
