Sheryl Allen (b. June 30, 1943) was a Republican member of the Utah House of Representatives, representing District 19.

In March 2010, Allen announced she would not be seeking re-election.[1] Instead she ran for lieutenant governor.

Allen served on the Davis County Board of Education from 1977 to 1989. She was then appointed to the Utah State House of Representatives in 1994. She has served in that position since, representing the 19th District.

Allen worked for Davis Applied Technology Center from 1985 to 1995. From 1985 to 1990, she was a Custom Fit Coordinator, and from 1985 to 1995, she worked as Public Relations Director. She has been the Director of the Davis School District Foundation since 1995.

Allen earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Utah in 1965. She later returned to the University of Utah to receive her M.S. in Educational Administration in 1990.

Allen ran for Lt. Governor on a ticket with Democrat Peter Corroon. Utah allows split tickets in gubernatorial elections.

Allen faced Gregory Bell (R), Aric Cramer, Sr. and Steve Maxfield (I) in the general election on November 2, 2010. Bell won the election.[2]

2008

On November 4, 2008, Allen won re-election to the Utah House of Representatives, District 19, defeating opponent Cory Seegmiller (C).[3]

Allen raised $20,529 for her campaign while Seegmiller raised $0.[4]
