Shirley Smith is a Democratic member of the Ohio State Senate, representing District 21. She was first elected to the chamber in 2006. In 2011, she served as Assistant Minority Leader.

Smith served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1998 to 2006.

Biography

Smith earned her A.A. from Cuyahoga Community College in 1982. She later received her B.A. from Cleveland State University in 1986. Smith the attended Kennedy School of Government Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government at Harvard University. She has been the manager of Cleveland Coca-Cola Bottling Company since 1997.
