SPRINGFIELD, Illinois: Elections officials in Illinois say that not a great deal of overseas and military ballots are affected by local elections boards sending them out on time[1].

According to records, a total of 16,600 overseas and military ballots were requested for the November 2, 2010 general election. Only 2,898 of those ballots failed to meet the September 18, 2010 deadline mandated by the MOVE Act[1].

All Illinois military and overseas ballots must be postmarked by November 1, 2010, in order to be counted for the general election[1].
