South Dakota School After Labor Day, Initiative 2 (1984)
The South Dakota School After Labor Day Initiative, also known as Initiative 2, was on the November 6, 1984 ballot in South Dakota as an indirect initiated state statute, where it was approved. The measure prevented a school board from establishing the first day of the school year earlier than the first Tuesday following the first Monday of September.
