South Dakota Secretary of State reminds voters to register

PIERRE, South Dakota: Today, South Dakota Secretary of State Jason Gant (R) issued a press release reminding eligible voters that Monday, May 21 is the state's voter registration deadline. Since the beginning of the year, 6,350 residents have registered to vote. A total of 511,038 South Dakotans are registered to vote. A partisan breakdown of voter registration is as follows:[1]
- Republican: 235,288
- Democrat: 186,172
- Independent: 87,651
- Libertarian: 989
- Constitution: 310
- Americans Elect: 0
- Other: 628
