Springfield School District Bond Proposition (November 2009)
The proposition sought to issue a $50,000,000 bond, part of which would be a qualified school construction bond. The money would be used to but air conditioning in the schools, making improvements to the schools and furnishing buildings. If approved there would be an added $.51 to the resident's property taxes.
A four-sevenths majority was required (57.15%) therefore, despite receiving the majority vote, the measure was 'defeated.
