A Springfield Township Police Levy Addition measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Springfield, which is in Oakland County.

This measure sought to add to the current police levy by a rate of $.75 per $1,000 of assessed value for an period of four years in order to further pay for police protection services in the township. It was approved.

The question on the ballot:

Shall the limitation on general ad valorem taxes imposed upon taxable property within the Charter Township of Springfield be increased by .75 mills and that amount levied for a period of four (4) years from 2012 to 2015, inclusive, for the purpose of maintaining police services. If approved, the levy would generate in the first year approximately $412,500.00.[1][2]
