Steen Miles
Steen Miles was a 2014 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. Senate from Georgia.[1] Miles was defeated by Michelle Nunn in the Democratic primary on May 20, 2014.[2]
Biography
Miles attended Ball State University and Georgia State University.[3]
Career
Miles is a retired journalist and former state Senator.[1][3][4]
Issues
On November 12, 2013, Miles filed an official complaint with the Democratic Party of Georgia against Chairman Dubose Porter for violating the party’s bylaws.[5]
In a statement, Miles' campaign said: “Sadly, newly elected party Chair Dubose Porter is not a man of his word and is in violation of Section 7 Section 1.7 of the Georgia Democratic Party Bylaws which explicitly prohibits supporting a Democratic candidate who has opposition during a primary or special election."[5]
