Contents |
Henson was a member of the DeKalb Senate Delegation. He is also former Chair of the DeKalb County Democratic Party. He served in the Georgia State Senate from 1990 to 1998 and again from 2002 to the present. He is past Assistant Floor Leader for Governor Zell Miller. He represents the 41st district.
Henson is a Teacher/Vocational Administrator at the Henson Training Institute. He also currently works in Human Resource Development.
Henson earned his Bachelors in Economics from the University of Georgia.

Henson ran for re-election in the 2012 election for Georgia State Senate District 41. Henson ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on July 31, 2012. No Republican candidate filed to run for this seat. The general election took place on November 6, 2012. [1][2] Henson ran unopposed in the general election.[3]

Henson won re-election to the 41st District Seat in 2010. He was unopposed in the July 20 primary and defeated Jordan Johnson (R) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[4] He defeated Eric Christ in the November 2 general election.[5]
