Vaillancourt was a Manchester Alderman, Ward 8 from 2000 to 2001 and a candidate for Manchester Alderman at Large in 1997.
Vaillancourt has switched political parties several times; in 1998 he changed from Libertarian to Democrat, in 2000 from Democrat to Libertarian, and in 2002 from Libertarian to Republican.
Biography
Vaillancourt earned his B.A. in History from Plymouth State College. His professional experience includes hosting a weekly television show; and working as a press secretary to Condodemetraky for United States Senate, editor, and writer/consultant. [1]

Vaillancourt won re-election in the 2012 election for New Hampshire House of Representatives, Hillsborough 15. Vaillancourt advanced past the September 11 primary and won re-election in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
2010
On November 2, 2010 Vaillancourt was re-elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives.
2008
On November 4, 2008, Valliancourt was re-elected by finishing first in the Hillsborough 15 District of the New Hampshire House of Representatives taking one of the three potential seats there. Vaillancourt (2,071) was followed by Thomas Katsiantonis (2,022), Michael Farley (1,864), Lindsay Lankin (1,839), Michael Biundo (1,828), and Nathaniel Grimes (1,512).[4] Farley raised $625 for his campaign fund.[5]

Controversies
Driving violations
On April 12, 2010, Vaillancourt pleaded no contest to charges of operating a vehicle after suspension, and operating with a suspended registration. He also pleaded guilty to speeding, doing 71 in a 50 mph zone. For the 3 charges, which all stemmed from an incident on November 18, 2009, he paid $723 in fines and penalties.
He was also cited for driving without proof of financial responsibility,failing to use turn signals and showing a law enforcement officer a suspended license. All of these charges were dropped as part of a plea agreement.[8]
