Stewart Beckett was a Republican candidate for District 4 of the Connecticut State Senate. The primary election was on August 10, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010.


Beckett earned his B.S. in General Agriculture from Purdue University in 1979, as well as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University. His professional experience includes working as a relief veterinarian for Doctor Draudt and Doctor Jones from 1982 to 1983 and as owner of Beckett and Associates Verterinary Services, LLC.[1]

Beckett was uncontested in the August 10 primary. He was defeated by Democrat Steve Cassano in the November 2 general election.[2][3]


Beckett and his wife, Jill, have two children. They reside in Glastonbury, Connecticut.[1]
