A Sugar Grove Village Electricity Aggregation Question was on the April 5, 2011 ballot in the village of Sugar Grove, which is in Kane County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 523 (57.41%)Approveda
  • NO 342 (37.54%)[1]

This measure sought to aggregate the village's electricity, meaning the village as a whole will get electricity and obtain lower rates as incentive. Villagers can choose to not be a part of the collective buying and then they will still be charged their normal rate from the electricity company. Village officials noted that they do not have to agree with the bid of the electricity company, so there was nothing bad about approving this measure.[2]
