Sultan School District Replacement Levy (February 2010)

There was a Sultan School District Replacement Levy measure on the February 9 ballot in Snohomish County for voters in the Sultan school district.

This measure was approved

  • NO 1,010 (38.34%)[1]

This measure sought to renew an existing levy that was set to expire in order to further funding general education, maintenance and operation costs in the district. The levy will be in place for a further four years and will be at a rate of $3.09 per $1,000 of assessed value. [2] The revenues generated from this levy account for around 17 percent of the total school budget and will mainly be used to train teachers and purchase new textbooks.[3]
