Sun Prairie Area Swimming Pool Maintenance (2008)

The Sun Prairie Area Swimming Pool Maintenance referendum was a school bond issue on the November 4 ballot in Dane County. It's purpose was to exceed revenue limits set by the state for school districts in the amount of $288,205 per year. These funds will be used to pay the ongoing costs of a new swimming pool at the new high school.

This referenda was accompanied by Sun Prairie Area New Swimming Pool (2008) referenda which would fund the initial construction and equipage of the pool. Both of the measure were approved.

Text of measure

Be it resolved by the School Board of the Sun Prairie Area School District, Dane and Columbia Counties, Wisconsin, that the final school district budget beginning with the 2010-11 school year shall include, on a recurring basis, an amount of $288,205 in excess of the revenue limits imposed by Section 121.91(2m) of the Wisconsin Statutes for the purpose of paying operation and maintenance costs of a swimming pool at the new high school.

Result

Approved by 8,714 to 8,423.
