A Sylvan Lake City Safety Levy Addition measure was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the city of Sylvan Lake which is in Oakland County.

This measure sought to add to the current public safety levy by a rate of 5 mills for a further ten years in order to continue to pay for public safety, fire and police protection services in the city.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

This amendment will authorize the levy of new additional millage in the amount of not to exceed 5.0 mills for 10 years, 2012 through 2021, inclusive, for public safety purposes, including police and fire protection services. It is estimated that if levied, 5.0 mills would raise approximately $385,026 when first levied in 2012. Shall the proposed amendment be adopted?[3]
