Biography
Patch is admitted to practice law in both Iowa and Alaska. He arrived in Alaska in 1974 after service with the United States Air Force in various capacities and was assigned as Deputy Staff Judge Advocate for the 21st Air Base Group at Elmendorf Air Force Base.[1] He was also designated for special duty with the Alaskan Command. [1]

Alaska Regulatory Commissioner (2011-Present)
Patch is one of five current Regulatory Commissioners in Alaska. Patch has served as the chair of the commission since July 1, 2011.[1]
Patch previously served as an Administrative Law Judge for the Regulatory Commission of Alaska prior to his appointment by Gov. Sean Parnell.[1]
