Tamra Varebrook was a Democratic candidate for Wisconsin State Senate District 21 in the recall election against incumbent Sen. Van Wanggaard. While she ran as a Democrat, Varebrook is actually a Republican and ran as a protest candidate in order to ensure a Democratic primary would be necessary.

Varebrook ran for Wisconsin State Senate District 21 in the recall election against incumbent Sen. Van Wanggaard.[1] She was defeated by John Lehman in the Democratic primary on May 8, 2012.[2]
