Tennessee Amendment 2, also known as Property Tax Relief, was on the 2006 election ballot in Tennessee. It passed, with 83% of voters in favor.

Text of the proposal

The language that appeared on the ballot:

Passage of the amendment would allow, but not require, the legislature to implement a program of property tax relief for persons sixty-five (65) years of age or older.
