Conrad ran in the 2010 election for Arizona House of Representatives District 6. Conrad was defeated by Amanda Reeve and Carl Seel in the general election which took place on November 2. Conrad was unopposed in the Democratic primary election on August 24, 2010.

Conrad graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1976 with a degree in Political Science. She went on to graduate from the University of Utah in 1984, where she studied American History. Conrad has worked as a librarian at Juniper Library in the City of Phoenix since 2006.
