Terra Siegert is a member-elect on the Dubuque Community School Board. She first won election to the board in the September 10, 2013 general election.


Siegert graduated from Dubuque Senior High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and English from Cornell College. She has a Master's of Science degree in Molecular Biology from the Molecular Biology from Universiteit Leiden in Leiden, The Netherlands. She is currently the Program Director for Community Educators, an insurance continuing education business. Her previous occupations include being a Research Assistant II at the University of Iowa, Biology Department as well as the Assistant Manager of PAGE Purification at Integrated DNA Technologies.[1]

Siegert placed third out of four candidates in the September 10, 2013 general election and won one of three available seats on the board.

Dubuque Community schools is located in Dubuque, Iowa. According to the 2010 US Census, Dubuque is home to 58,155 residents.[3] The district lies on the eastern border of Iowa and is 201 miles east of Des Moines.
