21 statewide ballot propositions were on the 1989 ballot in Texas. 19 of the measures were approved. "The order of the propositions on the statewide ballot was determined by the secretary of state in a random drawing held on July 28" 1989. [1]
At the time of the election in 1989, the Texas Constitution had been amended 307 times.
