Elections
2012
Middlebrooks was defeated by Keisha Sean Waites (D) in the special election on February 7. Latrenka Riley (D) also ran. In Georgia special elections, party affiliation is listed, but all candidates appear on the same ballot. Since Waites received over 50% of the vote, the March 6 run-off election was averted.[3]
