Drew is an attorney in private practice and a certified public accountant.
He is a member of Fairfield Representative Town Meeting, the Connecticut Bar Association, Fairchild School Systems, Fairfield Beach Residents Association Board, volunteer with the Fairfield Health Department, and a mentor at McKinley School.[1]

Drew ran for re-election to the 132nd District seat in 2010. He was defeated by Brenda L. Kupchick (R) in the November 2 general election.
2008
On November 4, 2008, Drew won re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives from Connecticut's 132nd District, defeating Ralph Bowley (R). Drew received 5,462 votes in the election while Bowley received 4,492 votes.[2] Drew raised $30,005 for his campaign; Bowley raised $30,645.[3]
