Thomas Hansen (1946-) is a member of the Nebraska Unicameral representing District 42. He was first elected in 2006.

Background

Sen. Hansen is a cattleman from Lincoln County, Nebraska. Prior to his election, Sen. Hansen was a member of the Lincoln County Cattlemen, and former president of the Nebraska Cattleman's Association.^[1] Senator Hansen has a degree in Animal Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His grandfather was also a member of the Nebraska State Legislature.^[2]
