Guerra ran in the 2012 election for New Mexico House of Representatives District 32. He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on June 5, 2012. Incumbent Dona G. Irwin (D) defeated Louis J. Luna in the Democratic primary. He was defeated by incumbent Dona G. Irwin in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
