In addition to being a Senator, Corder is the owner of his own trucking firm and is a farmer.
Issue positions
Corder introduced legislation in the 2010 session of the Idaho State Legislature that is designed "to attract California chicken farmers who might consider relocating" to Idaho. The Idaho legislator says that Idaho will give egg farmers who might want to leave California in advance of the time that California Proposition 2 goes into full effect in 2015 "friendlier regulations and lower costs."[1]

Redistricting placed Corder into District 23 with incumbent Bert Brackett (R). Corder was defeated by Bert Brackett in the May 15 primary election.[3][4] No candidates filed to run in the Democratic primary. Bill Chisholm is running as an Independent.[5]

Corder defeated Marla S. Lawson in the May 25 primary. He ran against Henry E. Hibbert in the general election on November 2, 2010, defeating him.[6]
