Tim Sprayberry was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 13 of the Alabama State Senate.

Sprayberry was a Republican candidate for District 39 of the Alabama House of Representatives. The primary election was on June 1, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010.[1]


Campaign themes


Sprayberry's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[2]

  • Aggressive recruitment of industry to create new jobs.
  • Alabama immigration/ with baby anchor elimination amendment.
  • Mandatory drug testing for receipt of any public assistance.
  • Elimination of annual property appraisal, back to every 4 years.
  • Elimination of the Grocery tax.
  • Affirmation of the Sovereignty of the State of Alabama.

Elections for the office of Alabama State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014; a runoff election took place where necessary on July 15, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Darrell Turner was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Gerald Dial defeated Tim Sprayberry in the Republican primary.[3][4][5][6] Dial then defeated Turner and Bill Fuller (I) in the general election on November 4, 2014.[7]
