Tom Butler is a Democratic member of the Alabama Senate, representing the 2nd District since 1994. Previously, he was a member of the Alabama House of Representatives from 1982 through 1994. In 1991 he served as the Senate Majority leader. He received degrees from the University of Alabama and Auburn University.[1]
