Tom Butler was a Democratic member of the Alabama State Senate, representing the 2nd District from 1994 to 2010. Previously, he was a member of the Alabama House of Representatives from 1982 through 1994. In 1991 he served as the Senate Majority leader. He received degrees from the University of Alabama and Auburn University.[1]
